Cultural Differences in concerning TIME
If we need to define TIME in two aspects, we say that TIME can be Monochronic or Polychronic. Monochronic Time is based in Schedules and punctuality, tasks and procedures, while Polychronic Time is related to the things you do in stride, executed in a parallel way, distractions and interruptions are a natural part of the life. Relationship, network and connections are paramount.
It is interesting to notice How can -the time- influence in our TFL classes. Depending where are our students from, we must to adapt or adjust our lessons according to their needs, time customs or time culture. It can be a real challenge but on the other hand, we can find benefits too, as a way to enrich our classrooms.
Question to ponder:
What do you think can be the main challenges and benefits to have students with different cultural time?

Your blog is amazing, great job.
ResponderBorrarTo answer your question, I think one of the problems teachers could have is in the activities and the time management, because some students are more used to be strict with their schedules, and others can spend hours just hanging out. This could cause a problem in how the class is manege.
