27th October         Week 6

           Individualism or Collectivism

Taking as reference the words of Ivers, we can understand two important aspects in the orientation and trait of the people. It can be INDIVIDUALISTIC O COLLECTIVISM, according the culture and customs. These kind of behaviors have pluses and negative things too and have different repercussions in life.
if we tend to be individual, we have a clear orientation to be independent, self-reliant, direct, competitive and so on, but contrarily If we tend to be or to have a collective behavior, our orientation is more cooperative, socially, obedient and with a sense of belonging.

It is very important to know and recognize How is the personality of each student of our class, in order to motivate them. Sometimes we will need to work in group and in harmony, in others situations could be necessary to work individually but these kind of things will enrich our lessons, because we will adequate our lessons according to their needs and culture.

Question to ponder:

---> What is the best option to combine activities or exercises in a classroom with both collectivism and individualism people?
